Judge Guy E. Bradberry served as the Family & Juvenile Court Hearing Officer from July 11, 1991 to December 31, 2002. He was elected as Judge of the 14th Judicial District Family & Juvenile Court, Division C, and took office on January 1, 2003. Most recently, he was elected to the Louisiana Court of Appeal, Third Circuit, and began his service as an appellate judge on January 1, 2023.

Judge Bradberry has been honored as follows: 2002 Louisiana Father of the Year by the National Center for Fathering and the Louisiana Governor’s Office; Diocese of Lake Charles Lawrence Toups Memorial Public Official of the Year award for 2003; 2007 Family Mediation Council of Louisiana state award; 2012 Louisiana Child Support Enforcement Agency State Judge of the Year; 2012 U.S. Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s Recipient of the “Angel in Adoption” Award Representing Louisiana; 2014 Pinnacle Light of Hope Award; and 2016 Governor John Bell Edwards Transition Team.

Judge Bradberry is married to Melanie Rose Temple Bradberry. They have three children, Melissa Sims, Dr. Andrew Bradberry and Jonathan Bradberry, and seven grandchildren, Ella Rose, Maxwell Allen, Preston Lee, Emerson Rose, Guy Thomas, Evangeline Rose and Andrew Edward II.
