Daniel Joseph Ellender is a judge of the 4th Judicial District, Division K, in Louisiana (Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes). He was elected to a newly-created judgeship in July of 2008 and took office the following January. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015 and expiring on December 31, 2020.
Ellender earned his J.D. from the Louisiana State University Law Center in 1991. Ellender worked with his wife Amy to establish the Ellender Law Firm in 1993. He was then elected to the district court in 2008.
