Donald Hathaway is a judge of the 1st Judicial District in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. He was elected to the court for a six-year term that ends on December 31, 2026.

Following law school, Hathaway clerked for Judge Henry Brown on the Second Circuit Court of Appeal, served as an Assistant District Attorney in Caddo Parish and worked as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana. Prior to becoming district court judge, Hathaway was affiliated with the firm of Sockrider, Bolin, Anglin, Batte & Hathaway, representing plaintiffs in personal injury and workers’ compensation claims, as well as handling Social Scurity Disabilty claims and criminal matters. Hathaway is a member of the Shreveport and Louisiana Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in the Western District of Louisiana and Eastern District of Texas. He is also a Master in the Harry V. Booth and Judge Henry A. Politz American Inns of Court. And served as the President of the Shreveport Bar Association.
