After completing her undergraduate degree at LSU, Judge Castle went on receive her Juris Doctorate from the LSU School of Law. She was an assistant district attorney and spent twenty years in private practice representing business men and women, individuals and families in business and commercial litigation. She has handled over 100 cases before the Louisiana Supreme Court. Judge Castle became the first woman to serve as the President of the Lafayette Parish Bar Association. In her time as a District Court Judge, she has twice been selected to serve as the Chief Judge for the 15th Judicial District Court and was recently honored with her election as the President of the statewide Louisiana District Judges Association for 2016.

Outside of the courtroom, Judge Castle is a community leader who in 2008 was a recipient of the “Women Who Mean Business” Award presented by The Independent Magazine, is a founding board member for the Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic and serves on the Lafayette Parish Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee.
