Judge Patrice “Patti” Oppenheim is the District Judge for Division “K” of the Twenty – Second Judicial District Court of the State of Louisiana.

Patti Oppenheim’s law career has been focused on Family Law, specializing in divorce, custody, child support, adoption, spousal support, grandparent rights and community property as a litigator, mediator and a Hearing Officer for the 22nd JDC Family Court for decades.

She received her undergraduate degree from LSU and her law degree from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review and a Casenote/Quantum Editor. After law school, Patti practiced briefly in insurance defense and state and federal worker’s compensation matters.

From January 2009 to August 2018 Patti served as Staff Attorney and Hearing Officer for Judge Mary Devereux. Patti is a Board-Certified Family Law Specialist and a Family Law and Child Custody Mediator. During her time at Family Court, she helped organize National Adoption Day and Court Improvement Day. As a Family Court Hearing Officer, Patti presided over 200 emergency custody hearings and thousands of other family court matters including protective orders, divorces, and child support.
