Ramon Lafitte is a judge of the 1st Judicial District in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. He was elected to this position on November 4, 2008 and took office the following January. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015 and expiring on December 31, 2020. Lafitte received his undergraduate degree from Northeast Louisiana University and his J.D. from the Southern University Law Center. Lafitte worked for the law firm of Piper & Lafitte prior to joining the district court bench in 2009.
