Judge Suzanne de Mahy serves as the judge for Division “B” and handles civil and criminal dockets in all three parishes of the 16th Judicial District. She was elected in 2017 and took office on January 1, 2018.

​Suzanne de Mahy was born and raised in St. Martinville. She attended Catholic High School (New Iberia) and graduated from Episcopal School of Acadiana in 1995. After high school, she attended Louisiana State University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She later attended Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 2008. Judge de Mahy began her legal career working with the 16th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office while establishing her private law practice. She also worked with the 15th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office in Lafayette and Vermilion Parishes. Judge de Mahy is married to Korey Kimball and currently resides in New Iberia.
