Judge Tiffany Gautier Chase was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Loyola University and her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law. Judge Chase was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in October of 1996.

Judge Chase began her legal career as a Law Clerk at the Louisiana Supreme Court. She served as a Staff Attorney, and then as a Research Attorney, to the Honorable Chet D. Traylor. Judge Chase also spent several years as an Associate in the Law Firm of Martzell and Bickford. She previously served as Judge of Division A of Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans. On October 14, 2017, Judge Chase was elected to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal where she currently serves as an Appellate Court Judge.

Judge Chase was appointed in 2013, by the Louisiana Supreme Court as Chairperson of the Louisiana Court Security Committee. She serves as Louisiana’s Delegate to the American Bar Association-State Court Trial Judges Committee; serves on the District Court Rules Committee; Executive Committee of the District Judges’ Association, Louisiana Judicial Council and previously served as co-chair for two years of Louisiana Judicial College- Louisiana State Bar Association Summer School. Judge Chase received the President’s Award from the Louisiana State Bar Association In 2010, The Pro Bono Partner Award in 2016, and was also honored by Family Services of Greater New Orleans in 2016.

Judge Lombard was appointed Supernumerary Judge pro tempore of the Criminal District Court for Orleans Parish (41st Judicial District) by the Louisiana Supreme Court in January 2006. Previously, he was Clerk of the Criminal District Court from 1974-2003 and also served as the Chief Election Officer for Orleans Parish.
