Fourth Judicial District Court Judge Wendell Manning, of Monroe has served at the district court for 14 years. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the Louisiana Judicial College, the Louisiana Supreme Court’s Rules Committee, chairs the Judges Committee on Civics and Law Related Education and serves on the Louisiana Commission on Civic Education.

Manning is a recipient of the Crystal Gavel Award presented by the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) for his community service and the LSBA President’s Award.

Manning serves on the SAFE Task Force of Ouachita, which provides resources in cases of domestic violence. He serves on the board of directors of several organizations including: ARCO of Ouachita, The Wellspring Alliance for Families, The Children’s Museum of Northeast Louisiana and Life Choices. Manning is married to Ashley Ewing Manning and they have three children. They attend St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe where he serves on the parish counsel. He serves as President of the St. Frederick Catholic High School Board of Directors.
